Our Roots
Since 1953, Beamsville Early Learning and Child Care Centre has operated a child care service. We were formerly known as the Beamsville Co-operative Nursery School. We have, throughout our history, offered families high quality early learning experiences for their children. Today, we continue in this tradition at our site located in Beamsville High School.

Our range of programming options is reflective of the expectation to provide stimulating and developmentally appropriate programming for the individual child in a warm, secure environment.

Our Philosophy
We are committed to the promotion and delivery of quality child care. The maintenance and continued improvement of quality care demands the recognition of an underlying philosophy, which is detailed throughout the Quality Child Care Niagara initiative, upon which high curriculum programming standards are developed.
Philosophically, we believe that children should be active participants in their learning environments, as they are by nature active learners and problem solvers. Early learning as a result, must be an active process whereby opportunities to explore and interact with their environment are key components in their growth and development. Underlying this is the assumption that a child’s growth follows a developmental sequence that is universal; however, recognizing that each child may develop at different rates and in unique ways.
